I'm usually a late night kind of person. I guess it comes from being a "restaurant kid", where my parents aren't home until at least 10:30pm, and usually around midnight.
Now this doesn't combine well with a 9 to 5 job, especially when you try to make it 8 to 5 to get some extra work in.
The last two nights have been shockers though. On Sunday night I didn't get to bed until about 2am (the storm that swept through Perth just after 2am kept me up for about another half-hour), and last night I didn't get to bed until just past 1am. For me, this is bad, because although I've slept in until the very latest I can, namely 8am, I still haven't been getting my full 8 hours of sleep a night.
I don't know how I'm still lucid and attentive. I do know that my concentration isn't what it normally is, and in the afternoons I find I'm slurring my sentences a bit, kinda like when I'm drunk.
This entire week will be like this I think. I mean, I've still yet to start packing...

Think of it this way: how much more difficult will it be to reset your body clock by 4 hours instead of 3? Not that much difference I'd reckon. Don't be half-arsed about it, go for the 4! You'll be getting up before 7am every morning and feeling great :-)
Incidentally, civilised people are in bed by 10:30pm *smirk*
